feel the roots of your hair
slow growth

rub finger thumb together
feel the grit of your own fingerprints

slickness of throat as you swallow yourself
back in

inhale yourself now
all the way down to your soles
you let that breath go
do not start to lose yourself again

because a yearning in your cells
muscles-tendons-ligaments-bones-tissue-flesh
for your taut aliveness and Be-ing
